The students' cafeteria is a central meeting place for students on the campus and offers
a great variety of regional, international, and vegetarian dishes, salads, and desserts from Monday to Friday.
In addition to four dining rooms, there is also a cafeteria and the Tower Café, where you can enjoy a variety of coffee specialties and pastries.
The meadow in front of the students' cafeteria, also known as the Mensawiese, offers seating for outdoor lunches, is a meeting place for joint barbecues or game nights in the summer, and a backdrop for student and cultural events.
Not to forget and especially important for freshmen:
The Academic Service Center – ASC. This central contact point for students is located on the upper floor. Should you have questions about the organization of your studies, just go and ask the staff working there. To simplify administrative procedures related to degree programs, representatives of the city, the individual departments, the Job Centre, the health insurance companies, the student advisory service and the BAföG office are temporarily on site at the ASC.
Around the students' cafeteria there are numerous residential buildings for students of the Studierendenwerk Thüringen. These buildings are also home to various initiatives and associations such as StuRa (student council), kindergarten "Studentenflöhe" or ISWI e.V., organizer of the International Students Week Ilmenau.
The Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB), the we4you network, as well as the campus family are in House M.
The "living room on campus", the bc student café, and the Ilmenau student clubs, which have enriched the night and cultural life for over 50 years, are in the basements of the residential buildings.
